SHOULD I GO IN FOR A HIGH DEFINITION CAMACORDER?
Not trusty if I should equip in a high definition camcorder or a accepted partitioning camcorder. the HD is twice (or more) the outlay but the represent is 4 nowadays bigger. Would same your opinion. Is there a higher partitioning than HD?

HD is the best out right now. It usually refers to one million pixels or more. 1920×1080 is the best resolution you can get out of the best high definition TVs, and only high def cameras are going to be able to utilize that.
In the future HD will most definitely be a standard, but as of now HD is fairly new, and some high end Mini DV camcorders out there are comparable in quality and picture. It really all has to do with the camera. You can have a really nice Mini DV cam that will produce better, picture quality than a mediocre HD cam, even if the resolution is better on the HD cam.
If you look into Sony’s DCR VX line of cameras, and Canon with there GL line you can find some cheaper alternatives to HD Panasonic also has some nice camcorders. I would look into these .
Sony VX2000, VX2100
Canon GL-2
Panasonic GS500, AG DVX100
Those are higher end Mini DV cams, ranging from $500-$2000 I’ve heard good things about all of them, and some will produce better picture than HD.
Lots to think about here- for one thing, we are just now experiencing 720p24 and 1080i60 HD capable products, with 1080p24 just around the corner. In non-techno-babble, this means that the technology is just in its infancy. Just like computers and TVs, any camera you buy will be obsolete the moment you take it home.
Another downside to HD is the huge file sizes. I don’t know what you plan to do with your video, but if you are going to attempt any type of video editing, your render times, processing needs, RAM needs, and storage needs will go through the roof.
Don’t get me wrong- I’ve worked with HD, and it is beautiful. But a lot of people don’t realize that you can still get decent images out of an SD camera. First, brush up on the owners manual, and get to know features like aperture, shutter speed, gamma, and color matrices (if you have them). Also, consider upgrading your lens.
1080i60 has 1920×1080 pixels per frame. Wait long enough and there WILL be higher resolution formats available, for a cost. I suggest using the HDV format, which records at 720p24/i60 on MiniDV tapes. It’s economical, easy to work with and looks great. The JVC GY HD series is recomended.
