. if you hit or hit had some of these cameras, are they beatific quality? i requirement it to block into a mac with a firewire telegram and impact with imovie. is it cushy to use? but mostly calibre is important.

I used a Panasonic camera when I did films in school. I now own a JVC which I’m very satisfied with. Canon is a great brand, but I don’t have as much personal experience with their video cameras.
Any of these cameras would be a good choice for you. They are all priced fair. Panasonic and JVC both have the FireWire (IEEE 1394) ports, but you would need to get your own cable. The Canon camera uses USB and comes with its own cable. I had preferred FireWire for the longest time when dealing with MiniDV, but USB 2.0 is just as fast. I personally use HDD instead of MiniDV now, but that’s a bit more expensive.
The Canon and Panasonic have better optical zoom than the JVC. They all have Night Vision, Image Stabilization, and Manual Focus. I would probably go with either the Panasonic or the Canon for the zoom, as the three are pretty much all the same. If you don’t care about zoom (they’re all decent anyway), I would go with the JVC and save $50.
