Ohhh GOOD GOD dont buy Sony, while they are good starter camcorders, I have had many troubles with mine. And, whatever your choice make sure that it has an mic input, because if you excel in movie making you’ll need it. But back to the subject, HD handles motion a lot better than SD. Unless you buy like the Canon XL2 or something. But I would definitely recommend buying hd. 2 things you want to look for: Mic Jack, CMOS or 3-CCD, and a headphones jack. I recommend the Canon HV30!
