CAN I CONNECT AN EXTERNAL MIC TO A CAMCORDER WITHOUT A MIC JACK BUT WITH A HEADPHONE JACK?

I hit a camcorder that allows me to enter my headphones, but it has no mic jack, is it ease doable to enter an outside mic?
I hit a AIPTEK p-HD(portable high definition) camcorder

    A headphone socket is only for plugging headphones into and not a microphone. As said above you may be able to hard wire a microphone to the inside of your camcorder but you will need to know what you are doing and it will invalidate your warranty. Better get a camcorder with a mic socket.

    Simply NO, “but it has no mic jack” you answered your own question.
    If you are able you may be able to hard wire a Mic to your camera but you will need the circuit diagram. and take you camera apart. Better option is to get another camera that you can use an external mic

    these ports work in different ways which are definitely not interchangeable…
    - mic is for INputting audio to be recorded, whereas,
    - headphone is for OUTputting audio to be recorded (like for speakers)
